Biomass, which is derived from organic materials, offers a way to use excess waste as an energy source. The process of converting biomass into bioenergy can utilize agricultural waste, food waste and forests, reducing the carbon footprint and helping to manage waste. However, it is important to consider land use and its impact on food security. Geothermal energy, which comes from the earth’s internal heat, offers a sustainable and constant solution. With great potential in countries such as Iceland and the Philippines, geothermal technology can be used for heating, power generation and industrial applications. Although the initial investment can be high, the low operating costs make it very attractive in the long run. Technological developments and global policies that support renewable energy will be the key to the success of this energy transition. Investments in research and development, as well as regulations that support the use of clean energy, will accelerate the shift towards a greener future. In a social context, education about sustainability and public understanding of the use of renewable energy will play an important role in creating support for this major change. The adoption of renewable energy sources not only brings environmental benefits, but also increases energy security and creates new jobs in the green energy sector.
